On November 25, China Tennis Grand Prix ended in Shenzhen. SWPU’s tennis player Jiang Xinyu, an undergraduate student of class 2016 majoring in law, defeated her opponents with her partner and won the second place in women’s doubles.
The game concluded in 6 days. Jiang and her partner Tang Huiqian advanced to the semifinal with a total score of 6:3, and then won two matches in a row after losing one match, making their way to the final. In the final, Jiang and Tang lost to their opponents Wang Yafan and Han Xinyun, who were both champions of women’s doubles in WTA games.
Jiang was born in 1999. She ranked 90 in women’s tennis doubles world ranking in 2017, and played women’s doubles in Australian Open in early 2018.
China Tennis Grand Prix was established in 2006. It is the highest level tennis competition in China held by Chinese Tennis Association.
