On May 26, the SPE Petroleum Culture Festival and International Petroleum Engineering Skills Competition of Southwest Petroleum University closed at the Academic Hall of the Library. The festival lasted 4 days. A series of events, including Distinguished Scholar’s Lecture, Distinguished Entrepreneur’s Lecture, Corporate Culture Exhibition, Experimental Skills Competition，Petrowhiz Knowledge Contest and so on.

This year’s cultural festival has attracted 15 universities and research institutes, including Peking University, China University of Geosciences, China University of Petroleum, Southwest Petroleum University, Northeast Petroleum University, Chengdu University of Technology, and Research Institute of Subsurface Flow and Fluid Mechanics. Over 1000 representatives from more than 10 companies, including Schlumberger, ConocoPhillips, Anton Oilfield Services, Beijing Gepetto Oil Technology, and Chengdu Vertechs Oil & Gas Technology, participated in the SPE Petroleum Cultural Festival.
