In Nov. 11-12, the 2017 University Volleyball Competition of Sichuan was held in Southwest Jiaotong University. The men volleyball team of our university won the runner-up, and the women team won the third.

32 teams from 18 universities and colleges across Sichuan participated in the competition. 19 of them are men’s teams and 13 are women’s teams.

At the group stage, the men volleyball team of our university defeated Chengdu University of Technology, West China Normal University, Chengdu University and Xihua University, and won the qualification of the second stage, ranking the first in the group. The women volleyball team defeated Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Yibin College, and also won the qualification of the second stage, ranking the first in the group.

In the semifinal, the men volleyball team defeated Sichuan Institute of Technology and Southwest University of Science and Technology with a score of 2:1 in both games, winning a ticket for the final. In the final game, the men team lost to University of Electronic Science and Technology of China with a score of 13:15 in the last set. The women volleyball team lost to West China Normal University in the last set with a score of 14:16, winning the third place.
