Society of Petroleum Engineers (short for SPE) Asia-Pacific student paper contest was held in Perth, capital of Western Australia form October 25^th to October27^th. Abdulmumin Omeiza Aliu, foreign doctor in SPWU, won thechampionship of postgraduate group.

Abdulmumin Omeiza Aliu coming from Nigeria is the first foreign doctor in SWPU. He researches into petroleum engineering, following Professor Guo Jianchun.
